Summer 2004
China Memory Book Project was launched by college student Bella Liu while an intern at Chi Heng Foundation to help children orphaned and affected by AIDS in Central China make their own memory books.
2005
The first 1,500 copies of the memory books were distributed to orphanages and families in Chi Heng Foundation’s Central China operating areas.
2006
The goal is made to distribute 2,000 more copies of the memory books
by the end of the year.
Thanks to support and interest from donors, sponsors and student
volunteers in China and in the United States who have heard about the
project, China Memory Book Project is expanded to the China Memory
Book Network, which now embodies the original China Memory Book
Project, and the new Big Sister Big Brother Program, a university
mentorship between the children and Chinese univeristy student,
launched this year in two cities, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Click here
to review our mission.
2007
The Big Sister Big Brother Program is continued in Shanghai and Guangzhou, as well as launched in Beijing. |
